Phew! Pamela Anderson and Rick Salomon have finalized their divorce, both of their reps confirm to Yahoo.
The couple, who've had a rocky
relationship since their first marriage in 2007, looked set for a
contentious legal split. After Anderson filed for divorce in February of
this year, Salomon called her a "serial baby killer" in court documents. In turn, Anderson sought a restraining order
against her husband and alleged that Salomon was lying about his Nevada
residency in order to avoid paying income taxes on more than $40
million dollars in poker winnings.
However, it looks like the two
have reached a deal. Anderson won't challenge Salomon's residency and,
in exchange, she'll get a little more than a million dollars in their
settlement.
"Public divorces can be harsh
and cruel — we apologize to our families and friends for any hurt and
embarrassment we have caused — we have come to an amicable agreement and
are moving on, " Anderson and Salomon said in a joint statement
provided to The Insider With Yahoo.
"There are private and personal family sensitivities to consider and we
retract any hurtful comments made in haste and distaste. We wish each
other and our families well."
Anderson and Salomon were first married in 2007, but had that marriage annulled after two months.
They were married again in
January 2014. Anderson then filed for divorce in July, but rescinded her
petition a month later and the pair tried to make it work.
