Jose Mourinho: Didier Drogba could make Chelsea return

Ivorian star Drogba returns to Stamford Bridge tonight for the first time since winning the Champions League with his final kick in a Blues shirt in Munich in 2012.

Drogba, who will be presented with a "thank you" gift for his eight years of Chelsea service before kick-off, aims to help eliminate Jose Mourinho's side and send Galatasaray through to the last eight.

But Mourinho's frustrations with the limitations of his attacking options, plus Drogba looming availability for nothing, make a 12-month final hoorah as a Chelsea player increasingly likely.

Mourinho would like to get rid of Fernando Torres, Samuel Eto'o and Demba Ba this season, while there are significant doubts over on-loan Romelu Lukaku's Blues future. But Roman Abramovich and the Chelsea hierarchy are determined to keep within the parameters set by UEFA's FFP provisions.
