Put another tally in the win column for Kim Kardashian. The 32-year-old reality star has just scored a major victory in her divorce case with estranged husband Kris Humphries, TMZ reports. According to the site, Humphries was demanding access to emails his wife had sent from some closed accounts -- but on April 15, the judge denied his request.
TMZ says Kardashian's lawyer, famed celeb attorney Laura Wasser, was in court on Monday to argue on her client's behalf. The hearing was reportedly scheduled for May 2, but Humphries' representation asked the judge to move it up.
The decision comes just a few days after the Brooklyn Nets player bailed on a mandatory settlement conference with his soon-to-be ex-wife in L.A. The two were supposed to face off in court on Friday, April 12, but Humphries, 28, was a no-show -- and the judge at the hearing was not happy about it.
According to one insider, the judge said the athlete was "mocking" the entire court system by not appearing at the previously scheduled conference. "Kim showed up pregnant!" the source told Us Weekly of Kardashian, who is expecting her first child with boyfriend Kanye West in July. "[Kris is] just wasting everyone's time at this point...The judge is furious. So disrespectful."
The settlement hearing was intended to bring the former lovebirds together so they could attempt to resolve the case without going to trial. Since no agreement was reached, the two will meet in court on May 6. Among those on Kardashian's witness list are her mom, Kris Jenner, her lawyers and managers, and even Humphries himself.
