Judge rules that Halle Berry can’t move to France with daughter Nahla

Halle Berry has fiercely tried to shield her 4-year-old daughter Nahla from cameras, so much so that she wanted to move the little girl from L.A. to France, the home country of her fiancé Olivier Martinez, where paparazzi laws are more strict. It looks like that's not going to happen, however, after a judge reportedly denied the A-list actress' request to do so on Friday. According to TMZ, the judge has sided with Nahla's father, male model Gabriel Aubry, who objected to the move.

Berry, now 46, and Aubry, 36, split in 2010 after five years together. Their custody battle was bitter, and the two only came to a custody agreement with the help of a judge last year. "Our issues were never about fighting for [Nahla]," Berry told "Extra." "We both know a child needs both her parents. But what I want to say about it is sometimes, as a couple, you reach an impasse. We needed a court and a judge to help us work out some of the delicate issues, and I'm so happy we've arrived at that place."
