Congratulations Yanga For Winning VPL Title 2014-2015

It’s no secret that I am a Young Africans Sports Club (Yanga) fan. It’s the first organized sports club that I fell in love with at a tender age. I still love and support Yanga. It’s a great club with an impressive record…at least as far as Tanzanian soccer is concerned. I have never imagined supporting any other team in Tanzania. #TeamYanga for life.
I, therefore, want to congratulate my team (our team) for sealing yet another title. Earlier today Yanga beat Police Morogoro 4-1 to become new champions even though they still have two matches ahead of them. This becomes Yanga’s 25th title in the history of Tanzania’s premium league.
By beating Police Morogoro, Yanga attained 55 points that cannot be achieved by any other team including second positioned Azam whom they have to meet soon in the final matches of this year’s Vodacom Premium League (VPL). Yanga’s archrivals, Simba Sports Club are currently in third position and if they win all their remaining matches can only reach 47 points.
Yanga who are leaving this Wednesday for Tunisia to face Etoille Du Sahel in Africa’s CAF tournament have been quite impressive since they fired their Brazilian coach, Marcio Maximo and have Van Pluijm and Boniface Mkwasa.
